How to Avoid Common Pitfalls in MISRA Compliance

In this white paper:

MISRA C is a standard developed by the Motor Industry Software Reliability Association, and aims to foster safety, reliability, and portability of programs written in ISO C for embedded systems.

Since the introduction of the first edition in 1998 and a subsequent revision in 2004, its use has grown steadily and is now used widely in domains beyond automotive including aerospace, medical devices, industrial control, and others.

This whitepaper describes how to use the MISRA C:2012 standard to reduce the risks of the C programming language by prohibiting the more unsafe practices used in programming with it.
